An action-packed TCR Europe season for MAHA UK’s Louis Tunmore concluded with the dynamometer and workshop equipment specialist playing host to colleagues from MAHA España during the final round of the TCR Europe championship.

Wisbech, CAMBS – 7th November Louis welcomed Arnau Coll and his family to Catalunya for the season finale, where they were treated to a front-row experience. They met Lewis Brown and the Comtoyou Racing team on the grid just moments before the racing got underway, then were treated to some exciting racing from their seats while basking in the late October sunshine.

For Louis, though, it was just another day at the office – albeit his office has been dotted around at race circuits across the UK and Europe throughout 2023! After joining Lewis in a technical advisor role in late 2022, in preparation for the 24-year-old’s planned participation in the TCR UK championship, Louis followed the rising star as he progressed to the TCR Europe series after a solitary UK meeting – winning one of the races!

Spells with Volcano Motorsport and Comtoyou Racing took both Louis and Lewis to famous but challenging circuits in Portugal, Belgium, Hungary, France, Italy and Spain. The MAHA-liveried Audi RS3 LMS TCR was tested but proved the perfect partner for Lewis, as the pair gelled to finish sixth in the overall drivers’ standings.

Louis said: “It’s been an eventful season to say the least! Lewis and Neil Trotter, the driving force behind Lewis’s TCR campaign, have been fantastic to work with. Together, I think we can reflect on a stellar TCR Europe season. Undoubtedly, Lewis has a long and bright future ahead of him, and I am pleased that MAHA UK has played a part.”

From a MAHA UK perspective, he added: “Welcoming Arnau to Catalunya, strengthening the bond between subsidiaries, was the perfect way to end the year. It illustrates how united the MAHA family is and, hopefully, we can welcome more guests during the final rounds of TCR Spain (the Spanish national championship) for the remainder of 2023 and then in 2024 – irrespective of where we’ll be racing in the world!

“We’ve also been able to network and, potentially, generate new business too, so while it’s been a long and hard season, it’s been rewarding.”
